German Shorthair Puppies

As the name implies, German Shorthair puppies have short hair which is harsh in texture, flat, thick, and dense that made this dog breed’s coat almost water resistant. This is helpful since they are sometimes used in water activities.

When you look at the dog, you will see a proud looking canine with its nose pointing upwards and its body lean and straight. They are great both on land or water hunting activities.

It is very easy to train German Shorthair puppies because they are very responsive. You can easily teach them commands which is good because it is imperative for this breed to undergo obedience training. They also excel in hunting and agility exercises.

However, you should be more patient when dealing with these pups because they can be stubborn. Always guide them firmly and consistently.

Because of this dog’s very short hair, it is very easy to keep them clean. No need to go to a pet salon because you can do it by yourself. Just get a brush with stiff bristles and brush your dog’s coat regularly.

German Shorthair puppies are also hyperactive and do not tire easily. You need to give them enough exercise regularly unless you want them to be bored and destructive.

If you decided to have this dog as a home pet, you should have enough yard space for the dog to run around. Make sure that your yard is surrounded by a high fence so that your dog will not be able to go out and get lost in your neighborhood.
